Retail Design at Industrial Prices!

Hemisphere Living, a well known furniture retailer currently situated in Helensvale Homeworld has out grown their current premises. In mid 2015 they will move into their new purpose built showroom and warehouse. The new building boasts a generous 600m2 showroom and warehouse measuring 400m2, nearly 5 times the size of their current one.

The building is situated on a prominent corner of Siganto Drive, Helensvale with excellent highway exposure both North and South. The elevated design has a dominant “turret” style facade that sits up and visually attracts passing traffic.

The site layout offers plenty of car parking for customers and staff. There is off street semi-trailer access for loading and unloading of containers. The design features lots of glass, characteristic of a modern showroom with high level venting through louvre windows to allow good air circulation. In addition to this there are three twelve foot diameter fans, again, to circulate the air internally.

The use of aluminium composite cladding on the turret, two tone paint colours separated by tilt panel grooves and timber soffit lining provide a classy, but commercial industrial feel. The mezzanine level is accessed by well crafted timber stairs and handrail with a powder coated mesh balustrade. The owners will promote their full range of outdoor living furniture from here.

Our aim was to provide Hemisphere Living a functional layout for both warehousing their imported goods, and an open plan retail outlet that is customer friendly” said Andrew Clarke, owner of Clarke’s Design & Construct. He goes on to say “The industrial style building is a very economical way to achieve large open areas. We dressed the building up with different forms of building products, including polished concrete floors to give it the retail look”.
