Project Brief

Concept plans were designed and approved by the Gold Coast City Council to suit this rather ‘tricky’ block of land as it was very long and thin with great exposure to the M1. The units (12 in total) were each designed facing the road to give each tenancy maximum exposure to the motorway.

One of the issues we had to address during design was the roof drainage. To avoid costly box gutters and possible maintenance issues for our client down the track we used a simple eave gutter, directing the roof water to the rear of the buildings and then back under the building to the road. This, in turn, saved our client considerable costs and headaches in the future.
