Project Brief

We were contracted to design and construct two warehouse units in a ‘duplex’ or ‘mirrored’ style. The project is built on one of the last remaining vacant industrial blocks in Nerang measuring 2011m2.

The total floor area of the building 1216m2 over two levels providing an entry foyer, upstairs office, kitchenette, staff amenities and generous warehousing area ideal for pallet racking or similar storage configuration. Externally the development offers good site and building access and plenty car parking for each tenancy.

Due to the existing ground conditions being classified as ‘uncontrolled’ fill it meant that we had to excavate the site down a metre, re-layer and re-compact the suitable material under level one geotechnical supervision to obtain 98% (or better) compaction ready for the construction of the building.

On completion of the project the client said:

“Clarke’s built two factories for me, they did the whole thing, got it through Council, built them and handed me the keys when they were finished.

They were very helpful; we looked at previous jobs they’d built. They provided 3D plans, which helped us see the design and choose the colours.
